Helen Stanley of Pitman has directed high school musicals for Gateway Regional for 30 years.
Fresh out of Glassboro State College (Rowan University) and armed with a degree in music education, Helen Stanley in 1975 was hired as a temporary replacement for a Gateway Regional High School music teacher who went out on maternity leave. "But she never came back," Stanley says. And Stanley, to Gateway's good fortune, has never left.
"Chorus has been Helen's life since she came to Gateway," Sellen says. "And her piano skills remain remarkable -- she's one of the top piano accompanists in the state."
