Helen Stanley of Pitman has directed high school musicals for Gateway Regional for 30 years. |
Fresh out of Glassboro State College (Rowan University) and armed with a degree in music education, Helen Stanley in 1975 was hired as a temporary replacement for a Gateway Regional High School music teacher who went out on maternity leave.
"But she never came back," Stanley says.
And Stanley, to Gateway's good fortune, has never left. |
"Chorus has been Helen's life since she came to Gateway," Sellen says. "And her piano skills remain remarkable -- she's one of the top piano accompanists in the state." |
